The All-New 2020 Hyundai Sonata at Ed Voyles Smyrna, GA

January 21st, 2020 by

When Hyundai totally redesigned the 2020 Sonata from the inside out, the vision for their remake is what Hyundai calls “sensuous sportiness.” Lower hood and roof lines, less body overhang, and an extended wheelbase give the 2020 Sonata a much smoother, sleeker look (dare we say a sensuous sportiness) than Sonatas of the past and its present competition. Built in the USA in a refurbished Montgomery, Alabama plant, the 2020 all-new Hyundai Sonata is turning heads in the automotive press, and will turn heads when you drive by. At Ed Voyles Hyundai in Smyrna, Georgia we have plenty of new Sonatas that will turn your head with its new looks, new lines, and low price.

So Many Standard Features for So Little Money

The base engine for the 2020 Sonata is a 2.5L direct-injection inline 4-cylinder that produces 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. Improvements in this engine’s design have increased fuel-efficiency dramatically over last year’s 2.4L engine, giving you up to 28 miles per gallon (MPG) in the city and up to 38 MPG on the highway, for a combined MPG of 32, 3 MPG better than 2019’s Sonata. This is Best in Class performance for 2020.

You can also get a turbocharged 1.6L inline 4-cylinder engine that generates 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.

Inside the cabin, you are treated to a beautifully redesigned dash and center console that uses space very efficiently and displays to communicate lots of information to the driver.

Four Trim Levels for the All-New 2020 Hyundai Sonata

The 2020 Sonata comes in four different trim levels, SE, SEL, SEL Plus, and Limited.

The starting price of the base Sonata SE submodel is $25,700 and you get a lot for that price. As an example of the value Hyundai packs in, with the base SE submodel you get Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assistance with Auto Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Detection, Driver Attention Warning, which detects driver drowsiness, LED Exterior Lighting and Auto High Beams, Lane Follow Assist, an 8-inch touchscreen display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard. There are more standard features, but this is just a sampling of the high value that Hyundai offers in the all-new 2020 Sonata. Other car companies make you pay extra for many of these features, if they let you have access to them at all in their base sub-model!

Four Drive Modes for the Completely Redesigned 2020 Hyundai Sonata

The Sonata has four different drive modes: Normal, Sport, Custom, which is set by the driver, and Smart, which adapts to your driving habits. Also, there is no gear shifter in the Sonata. This is replaced by push-buttons for your gear choice, and is done by shift by wire control.
